Regina Mae Walters

October 14, 1930 - December 28, 2021

Mrs. Regina M. Walters, age 91, died on Tuesday 28 December 2021 in Winston-Salem NC where she lived with her youngest son (Craig) and her daughter-in-law (Tonia). Mrs. Walters was born in Ranger TX. She graduated from Polytechnic High School in Fort Worth TX and attended Baylor and Ohio Universities. Mrs. Walters lived in Shreveport LA, Lynchburg VA, Ashland KY, Chattanooga TN, and Lancaster OH before moving to Bristol TN in 1982. In Bristol, she was a hospice volunteer and member of First Baptist Church (FBC) where she served as deacon and member of the Hannah Sunday School class. Mrs. Walters worked at King College as an administrative assistant in the office of Development and the office of Admissions. She was affiliated with the International Association of Administrative Professionals since 1979. Mrs. Walters was the daughter of the late Charles Lee and Nora Sibyl Caylor. She was predeceased by her brother Charles Lee Caylor, Jr. and her husbands, Clyde A. Walker, Jr.; Edward L. Cartwright, and David R. Walters. Survivors include two sons, Charles A. Walker (Vickie) of Stephenville TX, Craig S. Walker (Tonia) of Winston-Salem NC, and step-daughter, Nancy J. Hodges (Eddie) of Powell TN. Mrs. Walters is survived also by one granddaughter, Hilary Moore (Cody); three grandsons, Charles Hodges (Katlin), Andrew Walker (Kim), and Nathan Walker; three great grandsons, Asher Moore, Elijah Moore, and Revan Walker, as well as a niece and many beloved cousins. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church’s Joann Feazell Chapel in Bristol VA (2:00 PM Saturday 14 May 2022) with Visitation beginning at 1:00 PM. Another memorial service will be held at Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery in Fort Worth TX (11:00 Saturday 21 May 2022) where Mrs. Walters’ cremains will be interred.
