October 24, 1978 - January 4, 2022
Marcus “Marc” William Lemon took his last breath on the afternoon of Tuesday, January 4, 2022. Marc was born in Johnson City and was the son of William “Ben” Lemon and Jeanette Isaacs Lemon. On October 24, 1978 he hurried into this world before his father could sign his mother into the hospital. He always made everything exciting. At the age of two, he thought he saw his dad and toddled out the front door through a field to a busy intersection, where his mother caught up to him. By the age of three, he was racing “Big Wheels” and riding bikes. Marc always had an incredible natural agility. After watching his big brother ride a bicycle for a little while, he demanded a bicycle without training wheels. He climbed on his bike and rode as if he had been riding for years. His love for riding grew into racing dirt bikes and he was very fast. His agility also helped him catch many critters from crawdads and fish to lizards and snakes. He always loved being in the woods or at the lake. As he got older the critter getter became an avid hunter and fisherman. He also honed his skills to be a jack of many trades from mechanic to carpenter. Throughout his life, Marcus always tried to help others whether it was fixing something on your house or your car. He was generous with what he had and would give you the shirt off his back to help. Marc loved life and loved people, but everyone knows his greatest love will always be his boys, Colton and Ryder. Spending time with them was his favorite thing in life. Often he was just a big kid with them building a fort, tossing water balloons, tickling, or just making silly faces. He was happiest when he was with them. With Marcus everyday was an adventure. He tried to live life to the fullest. Although he had plenty of struggles, Marc knew the Lord and we will see him again. From the day he was born, he had a contagious smile and laugh. No matter what he had done when he smiled, it melted your anger and everything was okay. That’s the memory of Marcus to keep in your heart. In addition to his parents, those left to cherish memories of Marc include his sons, Colton and Ryder Lemon, his sister, Shannon Duff and her husband Donovan, his brother, Matt Lemon and his wife Mandy, grandmother, Jean Isaacs, his aunts, Janis and Ann. The family will greet friends to share memories on Monday, January 10, 2022 from 12:00 pm until a celebration of Marc’s life at 1:00 pm at Eastern Heights Presbyterian Church with Pastor Rick Light officiating. Due to the ongoing Covid pandemic the family asks that everyone bring and wear a mask to the service or if you don’t feel comfortable attending please leave memories online.
