Larry Dwayne Morrell

September 6, 1943 - April 5, 2022

Larry Dwayne Morrell, 78, of Bristol, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 5, 2022. He was the son of the late Charles and Mary Ellen Morrell. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Morrell, brother Benny Morrell, and nephew Brett Morrell. Larry was a devoted Christian, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church of Bristol. Larry loved playing golf and fishing. He was a huge fan of the Atlanta Braves. He was a lifelong resident of Bristol, TN. He retired from Ball Corporation and he served in the United States Navy. Those left to cherish memories of Larry include his loving wife, Lynda Morrell, his eldest son and daughter in law Michael and Betty Morrell, eldest daughter Teresa Morrell, and youngest daughter Pamela Morrell. Two grandsons, Hunter Morrell and David Morrell. Sister Lorraine Jones, sister and brother in law Nancy and Clayton Arnold, brother Rudy and Ann Morrell, sister in law Hazel Morrell, along with several nieces and nephews. The family will greet friends to share memories on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at Oakley-Cook Funeral Home in Bristol. The Funeral Service will follow at 2:00pm with Pastor Paul Griffith officiating. The committal service will follow at Shipley Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
