Janette "Jane" Lorena Simpson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Janette "Jane" Lorena Simpson, age 86, of Bristol, Tenn., passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at her home. She was born on March 16, 1934 in Bristol, Va., the daughter of the late Wilber Carrier and Kathleen Wright Tillison. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Earl William “Bill” Simpson; and sons, Donnie Earl Simpson and Danny Earl Simpson. Jane was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and had worked at Bare's BBQ as a hostess for many years. Her hobbies included swimming and going to the beach. She most loved spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her son, Randy Simpson and wife Shelia; grandson, Michael Sean Simpson; great grandson, Nathan Simpson; brother, Ronnie Carrier; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Oakley-Cook Funeral Home in Bristol, Tenn. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Todd Austin officiating. A committal and internment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery in Bristol, Tenn. To view the service LIVE, please click here.
