Jane Culberson

Jane Culberson, age 71, of Bristol, TN, passed away on Friday, November 23, 2018, at The Wexford House in Kingsport, TN. She was born on March 28, 1947 in Garden City, NY a daughter of the late Henry Clinton and Essie Hill Liford. She was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Culberson. Jane was a registered nurse having served in numerous areas. Her favorite time was spent in the Operating Room. She was of the Baptist faith. She loved to read and spend time and love on her animals. She is survived by her two daughters, Teresa Hopkins and husband Richard, of Bristol, VA, and Shannon Marshall, of Bristol, TN; one son, James Robert Culberson, of Blackstone, VA; one granddaughter, Emily Hopkins, of Bristol, VA; one sister, Margaret Schaefer and husband Ralf, of Maryville, TN; and one niece, Heather Tranbarger, of Blountville, TN. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday, November 26, 2018 at Oakley-Cook Funeral Home in Bristol, TN. A private committal service and interment will be held at Glenwood Cemetery in Bristol, TN with Pastor Scott Price officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Niswonger Children’s Hospital, 400 N State of Franklin Road, Johnson City, TN 37604.
