James Haskel Snyder Sr.

James Haskel Snyder, Sr. 83 of Bristol TN passed away on November 10, 2021. Haskel was born in Kodak, TN on June 3, 1938. He graduated from Carter High School in 1956 and enlisted in the Air Force where he proudly served his country until his Honorable Discharge in 1962. He married his high school sweetheart and love of his life Wilma Jean Webster on February 1, 1959, who passed away on Christmas Eve 2020. Haskel had a long career with National Cash Register. He was active in Scouting and served as a Scoutmaster for Troop 109 for many years. He was a 50-year member of the King Masonic Lodge #461. He is survived by his three sons, James H. Snyder, Jr. (Christy), Ken Snyder (Deanna) and John C. Snyder (Natasha); his granddaughter Lauren Snyder (Ken and Deanna); grandchildren Mark Holyfield (Caitie), Jubilee Gage, Maxx Gage (John and Natasha Snyder); and two great-grandsons Daniel Holyfield (Mark and Caitie) and Laroux Gardner (Jubilee and Austin). He is also survived by his two sisters Noralee Burroughs (Jim) and Judy Stansberry (Fred), and many nieces and nephews. Haskel was predeceased by his parents Tennie Lou Hargis and John Andrew Snyder. A small graveside service will be held for immediate family. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to their favorite charity.
