Bina E. Hale Hurd Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Bina E. Hale Hurd, 93, of Bristol, TN went to be with her Lord on Friday 7/14/2022. Born in Bristol VA, she was the eldest daughter of the late Ernest and Lora Clark. She was a devoted Methodist minister’s wife for 40 years. Her husband Richard served several churches in the Bristol, Lebanon, Fall Branch, and Kingsport areas. Bina was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Rev. Richard N. Hale, and second husband of 6 years John R. Hurd; brother: Bud Clark; sisters: Chassie Canter and Mildred Moore. Bina is survived by son Rick Hale and wife Carol; daughter Jane Rubin; sister: Nelly Rogers; brother: Richard Clark and wife Darlene; 8 grandchildren: Brad, Geoffrey, Sarah, Joseph, Mathew, Michael, Brian, and Joshua; 10 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at the Oakley Cook Funeral Home Chapel at 2:30 PM on Sunday 7/17/2022 with Rev. Steve Patterson officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:30 PM. Pall bearers will be Brad Hale, Geoffrey Hale, Joseph Conner, Brian Wilson, Mathew Wilson, and Colin Hale. Honorary pall bearers will be Josh Wilson, Jeff Cardwell and Cory Maye. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the nurses and staff of the Waters of Bristol and the Amedisys Hospice for their special care.
